privatumo lygis statusas T sritis informatika apibrėžtis Interneto svetainės lankytojo privačių duomenų apsaugos griežtumas. Privatumo lygį apibrėžia taisyklių (↑naršyklės ↑nuostatų) rinkinys, nusakantis, kaip naršyklė turi elgtis su ↑svetainės ↑slapukais, atsižvelgdama į svetainės skelbiamą ↑privatumo politiką. Privatumo lygis gali būti žemas, vidutinis, aukštas arba lankytojo apibrėžtas (individualus). Jei naršyklės privatumo lygis yra aukštesnis negu nurodyta svetainės privatumo taisyklėse, tai naršyklė riboja svetainės slapukų priėmimą. Pavyzdžiui, esant žemam privatumo lygiui, naršyklė gali priimti visų svetainių visus slapukus, nesvarbu kokios svetainės privatumo taisyklės. Jei svetainės privatumo taisyklėse nurodyta, kad ji gali rinkti ↑neskelbtiną informaciją be lankytojų sutikimo, o naršyklėje nustatytas vidutinis arba aukštas privatumo lygis, tai naršyklė gali įspėti apie tokius slapukus (lankytojas pats sprendžia, priimti juos ar ne) arba net iš karto atmesti, taip pat gali nepriimti ↑svetimų slapukų arba įspėti apie juos.
